We celebrated National Social Work Day on Tuesday, March 21st, a day dedicated to recognizing the hard work and dedication of social workers across the country. Social workers play a vital role in our communities, working tirelessly to support and empower those in need.
Social workers are driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those they serve. They work with some of the most vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, and those struggling with mental health and addiction issues. They provide counseling, advocacy, and support their clients as they navigate challenging situations, helping them build a better future.
At The Guidance Center, we are so fortunate to have talented and passionate social workers, marriage & family therapists, psychologists, and paraprofessionals on our team! We asked our staff to share why they chose the path of social work, and the responses we received were truly inspiring. We are grateful for their dedication and for the incredible work they do every day.
Megan Bunting, LCSW, Clinical Therapist at The Guidance Center shares why she loves being a social worker below!
As we continue to observe National Social Work Month, it is important to take a moment to thank the social workers in our communities for their tireless dedication and hard work. To all the social workers out there: thank you for your compassion and your unwavering commitment to helping your clients. Your work makes a difference in the lives of so many – we thank you.
Happy National Social Work Month!
