“I think we are all feeling more anxious, more overwhelmed, more frustrated, more exhausted in the current situation then we otherwise normally do, which for many of us is taxing our coping skills and requiring us to find new, more effective, ways of coping with this heightened level of anxiety.”
Dr. Lauren Ford is a Pediatric Psychologist with The Guidance Center’s Whole Child Program, a partnership with Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital. In this video, Lauren walks viewers through a breathing exercise called Box Breathing. This technique is used when a person, young or old, is having a hard time managing their anxiety. If you are currently finding yourself overwhelmed or feeling stressed more than usual, or if you have a child you are worried about, take a moment to watch this video and allow Lauren to help you or your child find peace with regulated breathing.
